Students and staff can use their school Google login to access the public library's shared collection of ebooks and digital audiobooks. Through the Sora app, kids will only have access to ebooks appropriate to their age. The ebooks work on a variety of devices, including chromebooks, tablets, iPads, Kindles, and smart phones.
Sunflower eLibrary (Sterling Public Library)
Using the Sora app, sign in using your school Google login.
You will need to connect the Sunflower eLibrary to your account. This is a once-time process and then you will always have access to the public library's ebook collection.

Sunflower eLibrary (Sterling Public Library)

You will need to connect the Sunflower eLibrary to your account. This is a once-time process and then you will always have access to the public library's ebook collection.
- Add library: Sunflower eLibrary.
- When borrowing a book for the first time, it will ask you to Choose a library. Select Sterling Unif School District 376 and sign in with your Google login.
Destiny Discover (FollettShelf) ACCESS INSTRUCTIONS
Access the SHS/SJH Discover or SGS Discover site (grades 3 and up) to read ebooks or listen to audiobooks online or download to a device for offline reading. These digital books can be read on most any device with an Internet connection: computer, chromebook, iPad, tablet or smartphone. Be sure to allow pop-ups.

You may either scroll down to the ebook (or audiobook) section of the home page and browse by selecting "See All" or you may search at the top of the page. Click Search Options and under format, choose ebook, then click Set Options at the bottom of the box. Then you can type a genre (sports, romance, science fiction, mystery), title or author into the search box. Ebooks will be shown by a green "E" icon (or a blue E for MackinVIA). Click on the book you would like to read.

Once you have clicked the submit button, it will take you back to the book you are wanting to check out. You can then click Checkout to save it to your account. You will be able to access your checked out book on any device as long as you log in. There is a two week loan period on all ebooks. The ebook returns itself once the two week loan period is over, or you can choose to return it early.
